The Pedal & Swing mission is to facilitate donations to ALS New Mexico in honor of Eleanor & Carolyn, through bicycling and dancing and other fundraising activities (see our Pedal & Swing website at www.GottaCureThatThing.org). 

The Walk to Defeat ALS raises funds to support those affected by ALS, and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments.

This year's ALS Walk, now called "Walk n' Wheel to End ALS", will be held on September 22, 2024, at the University of New Mexico (UNM) Track & Field Complex. Check-in for the 5K walk begins at 8:30 am. The actual walk around the track begins at 10:00 am. Parking at the UNM Track & Field Complex is free. Although Rosi & I would LOVE IT if you could join us for this fun-and-meaningful event, if you can't make it, please make a donation to ALS New Mexico - to assist those affected by this disease and to eventually find a cure.

NOTE: If you're unable to attend this year's "Walk n' Wheel to End ALS," but still want to "walk" for a cure, come join me on one of my regular hikes up the La Luz and Pino Canyon Trails, on the west side of Sandia Mountain.

Last, Team Pedal & Swing will host another 2-in-1 Fundraiser Dance on November 10, 2024, 5:00 - 8:00 pm, at CSP Dance Studios, Albuquerque. The first 1.5 hours of variety dance music will be Jitterbug, Waltz, Country 2-Step, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rumba, NC 2-step, Tango, etc., and the second 1.5 hours will be West Coast Swing dancing. The dance is free, although a minimum $10 donation to ALS New Mexico, and/or the MS Society, is suggested.
