Thank you for helping me reach my Walk United fundraising goal of $25,000! Last year we raised over $21,000 and for the first time in 13 years, we came in First Place on the Leaderboard! The Walk United raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure. I am grateful to ALS New Mexico for their medical grant reimbursement for my medical expenses and caregivers. Special thanks to the New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame and Marty Saiz State Farm Agency for their generous support and assistance in helping raise money for our Walk Team and ALS to find a cure. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
